Lars Falk
It has been on my heart for a long time to serve and support the younger generation, i.e. youth and young adults. I see this as God's call on my life and it is my motivation for becoming a missionary in Innsbruck, Austria.

The plan is to be bi-vocational to start with. I currently combine part-time work as an assembly plan draughtsman near Innsbruck, with voluntary young people’s ministry. I am involved in a project supported by nine free churches in Innsbruck called Lighthouse, in Christian youth work in Innsbruck called Youth on the Move (JiB), and also in Austria-wide youth work in cooperation with Campus for Christ and the Union of Evangelical Churches (BEG).
The Lighthouse project aims to build bridges to young people and extend a helping hand to them, and to offer space for young Christians and non-Christians to meet through activities on Friday afternoons and evenings.
Through Lighthouse’s Learning Support Centre, pupils, mainly from low-income backgrounds, receive help with their homework and support in preparing for tests and exams.
The Friday afternoon games create a fun way to build and deepen relationships with the children in the learning centre.
The Friday Nights offer youth and young adults the opportunity to get to know Christians in a relaxed atmosphere and offer space for conversations and questions about faith. We want to immerse ourselves even more deeply and long-term in discipleship with those who are interested.
JiB is an interdenominational youth organisation in Innsbruck, which helps young people to grow closer to Jesus and prepares them for their future (faith) journey.
At the moment I serve in the Lighthouse project, where I work in the Learning Support Centre and am responsible for Friday Nights. I am part of both the Lighthouse leadership team and the JiB leadership team.
I would like to be able to invest even more in these and other ministries in the future, this requires a lot of time and is my main motivation for serving as a missionary.
